A letter to Taryn Lykaina Rose.

Dear Taryn,

Today marks 2 years since the day I asked you those famous 4 words, “Will you marry me?”. It was one of the most nerve racking moments of my life, the butterflies in my stomach felt like they were going to burst out. Saying that it is also one of my most treasured memories. I am still as crazily in love with you as I was on that day and the day I met you. In these last 2 years alone we have been through so much together and encountered massive changes in our lives, all for the better. I’m unsure to if this constitutes as an anniversary, but to me today is a significant date in the history of my life so far. As long as we are together I feel like nothing can stop us and no hurdle is to big for us to get over. We are a team and always will be.

You’re the most doting and strong mother to our girls, I hope that they grow up to be just as amazing as you are with an added splash of themselves. I can already tell that Lillith looks up to you and takes in every little nugget of information you give her. You are not just a mother though, you are my fiance… my “companion” (sorry had to add that *inside joke*). You’re my rock, my soul mate and pretty much the only one that can pull me out of my foul moods. I will always be by your side to support you; especially if we ever go ice skating again.

Not a day goes by where you fail to put a smile on my face. Even though it’s the children that wake us up in the mornings, waking up with you by my side makes the earliest starts that little bit more bearable. You and Our Girls mean the absolute world to me and I cannot wait to spend every day of the rest of my life as part of this little family that we have created. One day I will give you the big day you have always dreamt about and hopefully it will be in the near future. I know how desperate you are to join me and our children with a matching surname.

I love you very much, Happy 2 years of engagement to us!!
